Two days ago, Apple redesigned its website. I think the new design, with menus that cover the whole page when you hover over the navigation bar, is lacking in usability, and I made a video to show why.
The good news is that you can stop the new hover menus on apple.com with StopTheMadness! Just add site-specific options for apple.com
, and then enable the website option "Protect mouse movement".
If you're a software developer, you may want to make an exception for appstoreconnect.apple.com
and disable "Protect mouse movement", because mouse hovering is used for example in the Sales and Trends section.
By the way, "Protect mouse movement" is also great for stopping the hover popups on Wikipedia!
